Headquartered in Hong Kong, Well Dental is a full service dental laboratory with a modern production facility in Shenzhen and a customized service center in Hong Kong. In line with our quality initiatives, Well Dental receives the ISO 9001:2008 certificate issued by TÜV Nord in Essen, Germany. We are also an officially registered foreign establishment with the United States Food & Drug Administration (U.S. FDA).

CRAFTING AHEAD FOR THE FUTURE

Well Dental’s founders, Thomas and Esther Leung, have more than 35 years of experience as successful lab owners and dental technicians. Their rich technical expertise has been acquired from their collaboration with a global portfolio of dentists from Asia, Europe, North America and Australia. Thomas has consulted numerous labs and dentists throughout Asia and has often been invited by reputable manufacturers in the dental industry to lecture on topics such as ceramic restoration techniques, implant construction methods, and CAD/CAM technology lab applications.

Thomas, the developer of iWell® (Well Dental’s newly launched CAD/CAM line of products and services), also pioneered the launch of CAD/CAM restorative solutions to the Hong Kong dental market in the late 1990s. His ever-learning and innovative personality has propelled the company from a traditional dental laboratory to one that is ever changing with modern dentistry. He hopes to share his passion and expertise in continually offering dentists and dental laboratories cutting edge restorative solutions.

Thomas oversees the technical development and direction of the company while Esther heads the operations of the Hong Kong lab. Joining the family team in 2003 is their daughter, Mandy Leung. She manages the company’s client portfolio in addition to the general management of Well Dental.

CANADIAN ROOTS

From a small crown & bridge laboratory, we have developed into a high precision and technology focused dental restoration provider offering a full range of prosthetic solutions with expertise concentrated in CAD/CAM manufacturing, all ceramics, implants and combination cases.

Well Dental was first established in Vancouver, Canada in the late 1980s focused on crown & bridges and implant restorations. It later relocated to Hong Kong in 1992 to service local Hong Kong dentists before expanding its production facility to Shenzhen, China towards the late 1990s in order to serve a global outsourcing clientele. From its global exposure to clients in Asia, Europe, North America and Australia, Well Dental has adopted lab practices and techniques that meet international standards in its day to day lab operations.

Today, Well Dental operates a modern laboratory facility in Shenzhen, China housing some of the industry’s most cutting edge equipment. Its Hong Kong laboratory, located in the city’s bustling financial district, serves as a patient servicing center for local dental clientele and has a specialized implant and orthodontic department. In November 2010, Well Dental launched its new milling and research and development center in Hong Kong providing its customer with its new line of iWell® CAD/CAM products and services.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Well Dental undertakes several initiatives to ensure the well-being of our end users. As an organization, we are ISO 9001:2008 certified with TÜV Nord in Essen, Germany since 2005. Our internal management processes are audited by an independent third party each year to guarantee accountability and quality management.

For the US market, we provide assurance through our status as an officially registered foreign establishment with the Food and Drug Administration which means that all of our return parcels to the United States are accompanied with FDA required documentation and approved materials.

All of our technicians from our technical management team are certified with the General Dental Council (GDC) in the United Kingdom. On an annual basis, our technical management team participates in continuous education and training programs conducted by GDC registered members and are required to meet regulated standards to maintain its certification status.
